Susheela Raman, in England als Kind südindischer Eltern geboren und in Australien aufgewachsen, war schon auf dem Album One and One is One von Joi zu hören. Jedoch bewegt sie sich musikalisch in eine, sagen wir mal, ruhigere Richtung, wie ihr Debüt Salt Rain zeigt, das auf traditioneller Tamil-Musik kombiniert mit Jazz-Folk-Pop-Einflüssen basiert: my music is more shaped by growing up in Australia, going to the beach, the vibrations off the ocean... the spatial dimensions are different and that means my music is different.
