The 50th anniversary of the death of Marilyn Monroe was on August 5 – with lots of special features on radio and TV. It left its mark also on me, as you may notice here… There are some more folk and country influenced music after her song "One Silver Dollar". Then we slide into dub, downtempo and trip-hop sounds, touch (electro) swing, and have a side trip to house and breakbeat. A swinging mish mash. It’s already been a while, since when I made the previous Flying Sparks set. In the meanwhile, the winter is gone, the summer "suddenly" is present, Easter days belong the past already. Anyway, it happened a lot since then. I was busy travelling between Berlin and Paris, for instance. This current Flying Sparks set happened to be extra long: 5 1/2 hours for a soundtrack of a night.
